What are nutraceuticals?
A nutraceutical, or health supplement, is a product taken to support health beyond ordinary food: vitamins and minerals, omega-3 oils, probiotics, protein, fibre or herbal extracts, made into a softgel, capsule, tablet, powder or liquid. It is not sold to treat a disease, which is what separates it from a medicine.
Progene Pharma supplies nutraceuticals to brand owners, importers, distributors and online sellers outside India, mostly under their own brand. Supplements are usually registered or notified with the food or health authority rather than the medicines regulator, and the rules on ingredients, doses and health claims differ by country.

Ingredient specifications
Raw materials are bought and tested to a written specification, to the USP or British Pharmacopoeia monograph where one exists, or to the specification you set.

Tested before release
Every finished batch is tested for strength and purity, and for the contaminants your market limits, such as heavy metals and microbes. Each batch ships with its Certificate of Analysis.

Labels that meet the rules
Cartons and labels carry the ingredient list, dose, warnings and storage, and the health claims your authority allows, in the language it requires.
Documents for registration
Prepared in the format your regulator expects and sent before the first shipment, so you can register the product while it is being made.

What are nutraceuticals?

Can you make a supplement that is not on your list?
Yes. Progene Pharma does custom manufacturing, so we can make any supplement whose ingredients and doses are permitted in your country, including new blends, strengths, flavours and dosage forms, or a copy of a reference product you name. Send us the details and we will confirm what is needed.
Which dosage forms can you manufacture?
Softgel capsules, hard gelatin and vegetarian capsules, film-coated, chewable and effervescent tablets, powders and sachets, and syrups and drops.
Do you manufacture supplements under my brand?
Yes. Progene Pharma manufactures under your brand name, with your artwork, language and pack size. We design the formula with you or make yours, and supply the documents to sell it in your country.
Are supplements registered like medicines?
Usually not. Most countries register or notify supplements with the food or health authority, and some need no registration at all. The rules on ingredients, doses and health claims differ by country, so check with your authority. We supply the documents it asks for.
Which documents do you provide?
Progene Pharma provides a COA with every batch, the product specification, the facility's GMP certificate, a Free Sale Certificate where required, label artwork, MSDS, and samples for registration or notification.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on the product, the dosage form and the packaging. We work with new brands as well as large importers, and confirm the minimum quantity with your quotation.
Do you sell these products in India?
No. Progene Pharma supplies distributors, importers and brand owners outside India. Our products are for export only.
