About fluconazole
What it treats
Fluconazole treats infections caused by yeasts and fungi, such as vaginal thrush, thrush in the mouth and throat, fungal infections of the skin and nails, and serious infections in hospital, including cryptococcal meningitis in people with HIV. It is on the World Health Organization Model List of Essential Medicines.
Why it is widely stocked
A single 150 mg capsule treats vaginal thrush, which makes it one of the fastest-selling medicines in pharmacies. For serious infections, fluconazole is given for weeks and reaches the brain and spinal fluid, and the infusion is used when patients cannot swallow.
How it is taken
The dose and the length of treatment depend on the infection, from a single capsule to several weeks. It can interact with other medicines and affect the liver, and high doses are not advised in pregnancy. Patients should always follow the approved leaflet and the advice of their doctor or pharmacist.

Which strengths of fluconazole do you supply?
Capsules of 50 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg; suspensions of 50 mg per 5 ml; infusions of 200 mg per 100 ml. Pack sizes and labelling are made to match the registration in your country.
Do you make the single 150 mg capsule?
Yes. We make fluconazole 150 mg as a single-capsule pack for vaginal thrush, in the blister or strip your market prefers.
Is fluconazole a prescription medicine?
In many countries the single 150 mg capsule is sold without a prescription, while other strengths need one. Rules differ by country, so check with your authority. We supply the documents it asks for either way.
Can you supply it under our own brand?
Yes. Progene Pharma manufactures it as a private label product, with the carton, blister foil or label and patient leaflet designed for your market and your regulator's requirements.
Which documents come with it?
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Progene Pharma also provides the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (COPP), MSDS and the product dossier you need to register and import it.
Where is it manufactured?
Progene Pharma manufactures it in a WHO-GMP certified facility in India, also certified to EU-GMP and ISO standards. Tell us your destination country and we will confirm which certification applies to your order.
What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?
Both depend on the strength, pack size and documents your market needs. We confirm them with your quotation, and we work with large importers as well as smaller distributors.
