What are antimalarial medicines?
Antimalarials treat and prevent malaria, a disease spread by mosquitoes that is most common in tropical countries. For uncomplicated malaria, the World Health Organization recommends artemisinin-based combination therapy, which pairs a fast-acting artemisinin with a longer-acting partner drug. Severe malaria is treated with injectable artesunate.
Progene Pharma supplies antimalarials to importers, distributors, hospitals and national programmes outside India. They are prescription medicines in most countries, and are registered with the national medicines regulator.

What is artemisinin-based combination therapy?
It is a treatment that combines an artemisinin, which clears the parasites quickly, with a longer-acting partner drug that removes the rest. Artemether and lumefantrine is the most widely used combination.
Are your antimalarials suitable for hot, humid countries?
Yes. Progene Pharma tests antimalarials at 30 °C and 75% relative humidity (Zone IVb) and packs them in moisture-resistant blisters, so the shelf life stays valid in tropical conditions.
Do you make paediatric antimalarials?
Yes. We make dispersible tablets and dry syrups for children, and can pack the doses for each weight band to match your treatment guidelines.
Can you make antimalarials medicines under my brand?
Yes. Progene Pharma manufactures under your brand name, with your artwork, language and pack size, and can make any medicine in this area that is approved in your country, including new strengths and combinations.
Which documents do you provide for registration?
Progene Pharma provides a Certificate of Analysis with every batch, a COPP in the WHO format, a registration dossier in CTD or ACTD format with stability data, a copy of the facility's GMP certificate, MSDS, and samples for registration testing.
Do you sell these medicines in India?
No. Progene Pharma supplies distributors and importers outside India. Our products are for export only.
